Report On Pregnancy Discrimination Released

July 28, 2014

Last Friday 25 July 2014, the Australian Human Rights Commission launched the Report of the Supporting Working Parents: Pregnancy and Return to Work National Review. The National Review examined the prevalence, nature and consequences of discrimination at work related to pregnancy, parental leave and return to work.

Thank you so much for your valuable contributions to the National Review. The Report outlines the findings of the National Review gathered through a national prevalence survey, and a consultations and submissions process. It sets out recommendations directed towards government, workplaces and the wider Australian community, all of whom have an interest in increasing women’s participation in the workforce and creating supportive workplaces. We are very pleased to be sharing the National Review findings and recommendations with you. See below the Media Release for the launch of the Report.

The Report is available online at http://www.humanrights.gov.au.
